Regent Seven Seas Cruises, formerly Radisson Seven Seas Cruises. This is a cruise line operated like an old-line country club. Food is superb and the ship is small, but first rate. You’ll find nice folk on the ship; no yahoos or drinking parties at the pool.
Royal Caribbean International: Enchantment of the Seas, Independence of the Seas and Grandeur of the Seas sail out of Port Canaveral in Fort Lauderdale. Majesty of the Seas, Jewel of the Seas and Liberty of the Seas sail out of Miami. The shipping line also has trans-Atlantic crossings.
Celebration Cruise Line offers cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Bahamas. It’s a budget cruise, but the Miami Herald says it’s worth it if you don’t need the amenities of a big cruise liner. There is even a two-day cruise.
